Religious help question

My BF and I are very happy with eachother and we get along very well, but he says we can't go further in our relationship until I understand his religion, Jewish- Chistian. I am Christian and he has started to tell me something's but I'm just looking for someone to help by telling me what the difference is and how our beliefs are different. Anything helps, thank you.
