Baby is hyper?

Anyone else use gripe water and notice it makes their baby hyper? I noticed any time close to bed time I give her gripe water she is kicking and cooing for the longest! As cute as it is I need my sleep.  I stopped giving it to her near bedtime but just wondered if I was alone on this.

Gripe water is basically sugar water - works great for hiccups and tummy probs tho. The night time gripe water may have less sugar, which might help!

Yes! I hadn’t linked the two until now but that makes so much sense- our LO usually sleeps from 9pm-7am now and the twice that I’ve given him gripe water in the last few weeks he’s not gone down until about midnight and also woke up in the early hours. Thanks for the heads up!

if your child is having that reaction to it, you should stop giving it to your child all together.
