is your SO on medication that kills their sex drive?

My husband is on phyc meds and they just kill his sex drive.  I feel alone in the "make my husband want to have sex with me" world.  Is anyone else there?

My husband is on some antianxiety and sleep meds. We had a hard last year or two for other reasons. It didn't seem to kill our sex drive but it did make it more difficult for him to get hard, even when he was initiating. I ended up giving bjs practically every time to get him up to speed, which did in turn basically kill my drive! About a year in, we've got it back and I'm soooo thankful. He's still on the same meds I guess we've just managed our emotions?! I know that story doesn't really help, but I guess I'm just saying you're not alone.

My ex and I went through that. His bipolar meds KILLED his sex drive and when we did try anything, he couldn't perform. I was convinced it was because he wasn't attracted to me anymore. It caused serious issues with us. Have you sat him down and talked to him? Maybe they can adjust his meds if they're too high of a dosage. That's what they did for my ex and it helped us a lot but he still got what he needed medicine wise.

Tell him to see his DR. My husband had the same issue, he literally tried three different brands but found one he really likes & it doesn't mess with any of that.

my husband has been suffering with depression and anxiety for 3 years now and he has really lost his libido but it's gradually coming back. I've felt so unwanted at times but we have just kept communication open and tried to always cuddle and not put pressure on it. We have started having naked cuddles where we agree neither of us touch each others private parts but just to get used to being close in an intimate way again. And we have been off contraception since August and he has been gradually coming off his meds with the GP help. This is the first month we BD in my fertile week and I'm just really hoping we caught it ok but I'm not due AF for another week. It will get better hun. Just trust in your relationship and your love for one another and try not to take it personal. I know its so tough but eventually things improve. xx
