dohm white noise

I just got my dohm machine for my baby and I have noticed since I got it it's been a bit colder in his room and also it lets off a certain smell almost that of an air purifier. does anyone else notice this or is it just me? I love the sound it makes instead of the old white noise machine I used to use for my son which was recorded fake noise. I just wasn't sure is this is a problem or not. my house is so sold to begin with because heat genuily doesn't distribute well through out it and lately when I go in at night his room is so much colder than mine and he's been sneezing I layer him in socks a long sleeve onesie microfleese feet pajamas a thin wearable blanket a thick micro fleece wearable blanket a knitted blanket and a crib quilt. (my son is 1 so I started using blankets). he still doesn't seem to be warm for some reason and it started since I got dohm. what should I do? I have a heater in his room but I don't leave it on at night I'm afraid of a fire but I do leave it on for over a hour before he goes to sleep. I really don't want to get rid of the machine it helps him so much ! but it's too cold! does it really make that much of a difference in temperature or am I just crazy?
