When did you stop working?

I teach middle school and I’m 32 weeks and struggling! It hurts to even walk down the hall, not to mention deal with the stress of the actual job. My doctor said everything looks good- both babies and I are healthy (which is awesome)... so I have no real medical reason to stop working early.... but I’m really mentally and physically drained. When did others stop working?

You’re a champ for making it this far girl! I teach high school and I’m already planning to leave around week 30. I’m seriously struggling at 21 weeks. Twin pregnancy is no joke and teaching is the HARDEST job, physically and mentally. Can you ask your dr to sign you out on medical disability leave? Honestly twins could come anytime and usually early! (35 weeks is average and not far away!)

I'm 34+5 and still working full-time. I'm a RN, but I work mainly in quality and analytics... I split my time between rounding throughout the hospital and desk work. Moderately stressful, but definitely dependent on what's happening at any given time. I've been slowly shifting to working from home part-time, which has its benefits and its downsides. My goal is to keep going as long as I am able. I'd do less from home work if the flu wasn't rampant.

If you’re stressed and in pain, please consider stopping soon if you can! I’m 32 wks and I’m lucky to begin working remotely tomorrow. I’ve been pushing myself for a good week or more and that can’t be good for our bodies! Best wishes to you!

I just posted a similar topic a few days ago...my work just had a meeting saying that they'll hold my job for 12 weeks and they'd like to know when I expect my maternity leave to start.... wellll....I have no idea???!!!  I'm hoping to work as close to 38 weeks as possible that's when the doctors say they'll induce me etc if I don't go earlier, but how am I to know when my water will break or how I'm going to feel carrying twins that long 🙄🙄
