Breastfeeding or Formula Question!

I was planning on breast feeding, well at least trying to and seeing how baby reacts. I just found out my husband was lactose intolerant when he was born and therefore had to be fed a special type of formula and could not be breastfed. I also was fed formula due to other reasons.

Will this affect our babies chance to successfully breastfeed? Is infant lactose intolerance hereditary? Sorry if these are stupid questions! I just want to be prepared and open minded just in case.
