I always liked the name Niamh until... (pronounced N-eve)
I teach a horrible little girl who's always screaming, bursting out crocodile tears, stropping, hitting other children. she's morbidly overweight and 4 years old. her mother is forthright and never punishes bad behaviour. Would you name your pride and joy a name you like even if you can only think of someone like this? It's a beautiful name with bad connotations.
