Fetal Doppler’s???

Question

I’ve read a lot of controversy on fetal Doppler’s. Are they safe to use at home every once in awhile or not? Did any of you have problems with them throughout your pregnancy. I don’t want to risk anything.

I used one my whole pregnancy with my son he was perfectly fine and my Gyno said it was perfectly safe.

I used one with my daughter because she was a rainbow. I had severe anxiety that I would have another MC. Once I got to 12 weeks, I used it once a week to calm my nerves. Once baby started kicking i stopped using it unless I felt like she was kicking less than usual or I hadn’t felt any in awhile. My OB just told me to limit how much I was using it, she didn’t want me using it all day every day.

they are safe-if they weren’t, doctors wouldn’t use them. the risk is not being able to find the heartbeat and it causing more stress than necessary. basically freaking new moms out if they can’t find it.

You’ll be fine, but don’t use it every single day. Once you get to the point that you are feeling kicks you won’t use it. I’ve only used it once in my third trimester and that was because my son wasn’t responding to me
