When to tell everyone. (Other then the other parent)

Question

When did you, or do you plan to tell friends/family the good news? When do you think is a good time to tell your job?

Answer

We found out at 4 weeks, seeing as I was doing fertility treatments. We told everyone asap (parents, in-laws and siblings) as they already knew we were doing the treatments. If it didn't work, they would want to know our next steps.

We are not announcing on Facebook. I'll send a photo email out as soon as we take them to the extended family and friends. (I'm 12w1d, pictures are being taken on Friday)

We told family after our first appointment at 10 weeks. I told my clinic manager when I started the second trimester, and the rest of my co-workers around 20 weeks. 
​Wait to tell co-workers as long as possible! Mine are great, but you get tired of all the comments every day. You look tired, you're getting bigger, ect.

We waited till after the ultrasound, we had 2 mc and wanted to wait to see if he was ok and healthy

We told parents right away. Everyone else found out at 11 weeks because my husband couldn't wait 1 more week. Some people just knew before, an older woman said my boobs gave it away.

We told our parents as soon as we found out, even though it wasn't "confirmed" until we were 10 weeks. And then we sent cute little announcements in the mail to our grandparents, that was at about 11/12 weeks.

We're waiting until after our next appointment that baby is still okay (since we experienced a miscarriage before) which we will be 14 weeks and in the second trimester. And that's when we plan on posting in on FB to tell all our other friends and family. 😊

I told my boss around 14 weeks with all 3 of my pregnancies. I think it just worked out that way, I wanted to wait until after our first apt and were out of the first trimester.

Told family and family around the same time, 12-ish weeks. Never have done the Facebook announcement, word of mouth just seems to get through everyone we don't directly tell :)
