Does anyone use a registry anymore?

My baby shower is next weekend. Only 2 items out of two registries are purchased (which I've received in the mail) & I have a huge family so their will be a ton in attendance. But I've had so many of my close friends ask, what do you need or want? .... look at my registry.... lol I don't know if this makes me sound ridiculous but I think it's crazy how many people have asked me this and not once looked at my registries.

I honestly just use my registry as a checklist for things I need to buy for baby. If anyone buys off of it, even better for me. But I know not a lot of people are going to buy the things I actually want. Hoping I can return things for store credit afterwards lol.

I did babies r us. They have this thing where you get 10% cash back after the baby is born for all the items you buy off your list. Not only that but if people buy something for the baby from there you can just bring it to customer service add it to your registry and return to rebuy it off your registry so you can get the points and cash back. It helps allot

I did. But people are notorious for not buying what’s on there. Nobody wants to buy the necessities, they all want to buy the cutest outfit or the toy with the most blinking lights. No

Agreed! Mine is this Sat and only 18 items have been bought off my registry and I have 50 people coming! I’m like annoyed by it lol we make a registry for a reason.. if I get a Ton of clothes and things I don’t need I’m going to be upset. I’m stressing out about it lol

I did one with Babies R Us and people bought off my registry and some people bought whatever they wanted go buy. I still got a LOT of stuff in general and a LOT off my registry which was 93% complete out of 100%. Try not to get annoyed that people haven't purchased anything yet because what I noticed was that folks wait till the last minute to Buy stuff for some reason. Sometimes tney wait until the day before your event which is insane to me but ok lol. Good thing is you get a gift card after your due date from of all the points that added up from endless rewards. It even counts if you buy something off your registry which I did. When I saw a cute outfit I wanted to buy i added it to my registry to get the points. I didn't put any clothing on my registry by the way.

I know for my wedding no one did so when I have my baby shower I’m going to print a wants and needs list to put in the invites with a link to my registers included just in case. Figured people like being handed their options instead of having to look them up.

I did once with my first but I never will again it’s not worth it people are going to buy what they want imo. I hardly got anything on my registry it’s easier to ask the person what they need or buy whatever yourself

I did at babies r us and I got a pretty good amount of store credit! If your guests by something off your registry and they tell them it’s for your registry you get a gift card after you have the baby it’s super cool.

Some people bought the things on my registry just not off the actual registry. Not sure why 🤷🏼‍♀️
