So I have to be out of work for 21 days due to a work related injury, I'm not thrilled nor happy because this could have all been avoided. I'm a special needs bus assistant for the school board in the city I currently reside in. I help special needs students on and off the bus, I don't drive the bus, my co-worker does. My driver is the reason why I'm out for so long. My driver was on their cell phone, not paying attention to the road, as a result, they slammed on the brakes really hard. I ened up with a really bad whiplash. My doctor put me on light duty work, but I'm not able to go back to work until after 21days. I'm upset and beyond frustrated because I don't know what to do.
