Would it be weird to change my babys name?

so my baby is getting registered tomorrow and he will be 4 weeks old he has been called jasper since he was born, however I feel awful as the baby's father hates the name. the baby was originally supposed to be called Kai but I dont know if I'll regret changing his name because I love jasper to

I don’t want to make you feel bad but I honestly couldn’t call my child something that their father didn’t like. At the end of the day if it wasn’t for this man you wouldn’t have this beautiful little one, it took both of you to create him & it’s only fair both of you should name him. It’s not too late if you haven’t registered him yet. All 3 of my kids had no names right up until the day they were registered because we had to find something we both agreed on lol which I think is only fair. X

If he's going to be an involved father you like Kai, even though you love Jasper, you should change the name. It's better for both parents to like the name vs one loves it but one hates it. Kai Jasper is a good name.

When I had my daughter I told the baby’s father I either get to pick the name and she gets ur last name or vise Versa u can’t have both lol so he picked she gets his last name! Luckily he loved the name I picked out but I guess if ya’ll are married it’s different then :) I would keep jasper tho it’s super cute :)

It’s up to you, I don’t think it will be weird. It’s been done before and it’ll be done again. Not all parents are happy with their choice, and after a while they realise they’re not happy with it. Or some even find the name doesn’t suit the child , so they change it
