Preeclampsia

I'm 36 weeks today and for a week now my blood pressure has been extremely high and there's been high levels of protein in my urine.. So anyways my doctors are pretty sure I have preeclampsia and they are waiting until I'm 37 weeks before the induce me, I have regular doctor visits every 2 days until next week but I never actually knew how harmful preeclampsia was until I started looking it up.. I never had this with my first pregnancy but if its so dangerous why would they be waiting until next week!!? I'm kinda having a freak out but now it's so late in my pregnancy I'm not even sure what I can do about it!!
