Is it my responsibility?
So I’m 38 weeks pregnant and scheduled to have a repeat c section on February 12! My baby daddy has two pit bulls and the female is pregnant and due any day now. We lived together for awhile but I moved out when his dog bit my 12 pound shih tzu. My dogs were under too much stress and everything is better this way (long story). Him and I are still “together” but I find peace being separated from him if that makes sense. Anyways! He thinks his dog is going to go into labor any day now and he is expecting me to get up in the middle of the night to go there and help or whatever if it happens, or leave work and come help if need be. Or this weekend when he’s working go sit with her. I love his dogs and don’t ever want anything to happen to them but I’m under enough pressure as it is with everything going on before I have another baby. AND his mom does nothing all day everyday and could easily help. She’s even had dogs that have had puppies before. He says I just want to put the burden on someone else. And that I should be the one to help “it’s my dog too” he says. I’m exhausted as it is. And I have a huge to-do list that I was planning on working on this weekend before baby comes. I’m so overwhelmed and don’t need this extra stress. But it’s never ending stress with him. Is this my responsibility? Should I stop what I’m doing to help?
