Cervix question!

Went for my weekly appointment today. She tried to check my cervix. She told me it's softening and shortening but it's so anterior she couldn't tell how dilated I was, but could feel babies head. And that she could come any day now!!! Has this happened to anyone else? What can I naturally do to try and help baby come faster? I'm so tired and have been cramping and having back pain I want baby out!!
