How long did you work??

Question

With twins, how long were you able to work? I am having a very healthy pregnancy so far, babies are looking wonderful! I am 18 weeks and a waitress. Just curious as to about how long I can be expected to work! I want to as long as they will let me!!!

I had to stop working at 17 weeks due to Braxton Hicks and complete bed rest at 27 1/2 after going to the hospital for a week to stop contractions

I'm 25 weeks tomorrow with twins, I also have two kids ages 6 & 8. I'm still working, not sure when I'll stop, my doctor wants me to get off my feet & rest more. I'm on my feet literally all day, from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm everyday, between working, taking care of the kids, appts, errands & just normal everyday stuff. Its def getting harder & harder everyday, my feet & ankles are so badly swollen everyday, & I've been getting Braxton hicks since around 17 weeks but there becoming more & more uncomfortable, & happening off & on throughout the day!! As of a couple weeks ago my doctor said he don't want me doing more than 10 hrs a week, I work more than that, not counting everything else. I'm starting to worry more, & thinking about when's a good time to stop working, because it's so much on the body carrying twins, let alone working, & kids & everything else, plus were gonna be moving within the next month or two!! So I'm not sure yet, but know my doctor wants me to slow down, & worried he'll put me on bed rest soon, I'm considered a high risk pregnancy, my son was born a month early, & had a subchronic hemorrahage in the beginning of this pregnancy, & baby A-girl has a marginal cord insertion. Trying to make it to 30 weeks at least, but whatever the doctor says I will do to make sure the babies are healthy!!

I'm 12 weeks with twins, first pregnancy, and I'm a nurse. I work 12h shifts, on my feet 75% of the time. Wanted to follow this post bcuz I'm very curious what others with twins experiences have been. I'm hoping to work as close to my due date as possible.

My job was on my feet all day too, I left at 32weeks with my section booked for 36, thought I took it a little early at first.. But currently in hospital now looks like they're coming tomorrow morning at 34+3! So only had two weeks! And to be honest I'm soo glad I had these last two weeks, I couldn't have gone any longer I was well and truly shattered and it's so nice to have a little time just to enjoy the end of your pregnancy resting, nesting, shopping, getting things ready and catching up with friends before you become a very busy twin mum! Yes it's lovely to have more time at the end but don't feel bad about having some time for YOU! Good luck ☺️Xx
