Put Baby In The Closet...?

Question

So my boyfriend and I are expecting in October. We have a small space to work with because our bedroom is small, no extra rooms to use and we don't want to have a "nursery" in like the living room or something. Enter closet nurseries... I first saw the idea on Pinterest and thought it was genius! My little bean is only going to take up a tiny bit of space for the first few months anyway.
So what are your thoughts? Is anyone else doing this? Suggestions appreciated ❤

Do it! I always remove the doors from closets. It’s not like you’re locking your baby in the closet.

I personally wouldn’t because my closets get ridiculously cold and hot. We live in an apartment with very limited space and we’re going with a little packn play for his crib do a while

My little sister and I lived in a small apartment. The master bedroom had a walk in closet so I let her have the master and my nieces nursery was the closet. It fit a crib and a dresser. I always joked about it until I realized it was a real thing that people did haha. I say go for it! It worked perfectly for what we had to work with.

My friend did this and it’s perfect! And adorable! I wish I could do it but baby is in our room because we can’t make the closet option Work.

My aunt did it and it worked perfectly! That way baby is close by too so you can keep an eye on them once they start sleeping in their own space.

Technically if the closet doesn’t have another exit (window or door) it’s against fire code to be considered a bedroom. Of course you are the only one who would know, but in the event of a fire if the child were to get trapped their would be no other point of entry for rescue to reach them. I would defiantly take the door off and hang a blackout curtain if you decide to go this route
