ectopic pregnancy
After 3 miscarriages before 7 weeks gestation we were beyond excited to make it to the 9 week mark! We thought we were finally going to get to keep our baby. February 1, 2018 I fainted while teaching and progressively felt more and more pain in my abdomen. I called my fiance to take me to the ER. By the time we made it to the ER my blood pressure was 70/40 and I was immediately taken to a room. They did testing, hooked me up to an IV and took me for a transvaginal ultrasound. The ultrasound tech wouldn't tell me anything but I knew that it wasn't good from the look on her face. By the time they rolled me back down to my room they had already informed my fiance on the next steps. The doctor told me my baby was in my right fallopian tube and it had ruptured, I was bleeding internally. He said that I was going into surgery NOW! I didn't even have time to call my family so my fiance called both our families while I was prepped. The surgery took an hour and the surgeon said there was so much blood in my abdomen that she couldn't remove it all. I just recieved all of my ultrasound pictures from the hospital

and my baby was measuring right on track and had a heart rate of 176 BPM. we are both heartbroken to yet again lose another baby and my right fallopian tube but are thankful that the medical staff acted as quickly as they did to save my life.
