People freak out when you ask them sex questions

I don't get it ? Why can't I ask if I need to be on birth control? Why can't i ask about fertile windows and how long it takes to figure out if you're pregnant? For one thing, saying "just don't have sex" is a shitty answer, shouldn't it be good that I'm trying to protect myself? Women and girls need to be taught about their bodies, because there is so much more to learn than just "the talk" about sex. Men and women need to be educated on the proper ways to stay protected, stay healthy, and everything in between. Men need to know about periods and fertile windows and how long a pregnancy takes because it shouldn't just be the woman. Both parties need to go into sex with a proper understanding of it.
