Skyla period after 6 months without?

Hello everyone! I have had Skyla since July of 2017, had a little bleeding after insertion as expected then like 3 days later I had the heaviest period of my life. After that 5 day period I haven’t had a period since in the last 6 months. All of a sudden I’m now noticing I’m cramping again and am having irregular periods (most of the time it’s heavier spotting but It gets heavier and then goes away after a day or so). At first it was just the spotting but now it is almost a daily occurrence. I know your period will be irregular for 3-6 months but I’m not sure if anyone else went through this as well.
