Is this just the birth control finally leaving my body?

My husband and I have been married almost 5 years now. On our 4 year anniversary our dog decided to tear up and try to eat my birth control pills. We had toyed with the idea of TTC for a few and took it as a sign. (the dog is just fine she only actually ate one and it was a sugar pill.we had to check and count all of them).

So it's just about 6 months after going off of BC and my libido is through the roof. I wake up horny, I go to sleep horny. I do the laundry horny, you get my drift. It has nothing to do with wanting a baby either. We are kind of just letting it happen naturally for now. We are having sex just not really planning times or trying anything to help get pregnant but definitely not taking any sort of BC.

So ladies of glow, is this just the BC finally out of my system completely? Or is there more at work here? I do have to add that my husband and I used to only have sex maybe once a week maybe once every two weeks. Now I could pounce on him 3 times a day.
