Hi mommies, my beautiful baby girl was born in the early hours of Sunday, she came naturally, however I had to be induced as my water broke on Friday morning (more a trickle than a flow) and after 24 hours of waiting for contractions to begin, I was admitted to the clinic for induction. I received vaginal tablets, and from the 3rd tablet (they give you max 6) the contractions started all at once. That's when I knew it's going to o be a long day, as every hour that passed I was not dilating enough; after 4 hours I was only 3 cm wide. Normally, the anesthesiologist only administers spinal injection once you're 6 cm wide, but due to sever pain, accompanied by throwing up, they decided to o give it to me. That really relieved the pain, yet I felt the contractions as a pressure building up. After 3 hours the spinal injection faded away and by then I was 7cm wide. They administered the second injection (and final) and I got to 10 cm very quickly. As the pressure built up more and more, it was time to push and she came actually very quickly, approx. 45'. she had some trouble moving and breathing but after some oxigen given she started crying and moving :). The apgar score was 5 at first, then after 5 min was 8 and after 10 min it was 10:p....my beautiful girl is now 11 days old, growing and feeding like a pro, couldn't be more happy to have her. I hope my story helps you, dear community. Stay strong, stay positive and remember, every contraction brings you closer to meeting your baby :)!
