Should I buy him a gift for Valentines?

We're not officially dating but we like each other (or at least I do). Will it be weird if I give him something?

if you do just buy him his favorite  candy snacks and drink nothing to special since you guys arent together but if you do keep in mind that he might not get you anything but good luck with him :)

Stick to something small and frivolous. Nothing too fancy or expensive. When my husband and I first started dating, he gave me a teddy bear he'd won out of the machine at Walmart, and I got him one of those NADCAR chocolate candy bars for like, $2.50 a box. I went to his house, we exchanged our small gifts, and we watched the NASCAR race, and shared some sour cream and onion chips and cold French onion dip and a couple drinks. (That was way back when, before we decided to quit drinking altogether, but anyway... it was simple and we had fun!

This happened to me back in December. This guy and I had just started “talking” in November. I stayed with him every night, he came to my family dinners and everything. But! He and I weren’t “dating”. So I had no clue if I needed to buy him something for Christmas. I bought a gift for him anyways! Just Incase he got me something, I would have him something. A backup gift.. So, I would get him something small and if he doesn’t get you anything, take that shit back 😂
