Help!!!!!

So my period is duein 5 days I been testing with clearblue advanced ovulation kit and I have only got flashing smiley faces never got a solid smiley face so does that mean I never ovulated I’m just confused my first month testing somebody said that the only smiley face that matters is the solid one that clear blue advanced has the instructions wrong they just want to do marketing is that true can someone help
