Dangerous bassinet? Should i take it back for a refund? Feel uncomfortable with it now!

So I am not sure where to post this so I put it here in product recommendations... I put a Swaddleme summer infant bassinet by your side sleeper thingy on layby just prior to Xmas and got it and havent opened it, it is still in the box, sealed.... i dont think i have the reciept but they would be able to look me up as i had it on layby... (toys r us btw) ... and i was thinking of setting it up and came across a very poor review and its got me TERRIFIED. Other people are complaining about the same issue and that is...

Do you think I am entitled to a refund based on the fact I havent even opened it? I dont have a receipt but they can look me up to verify i did buy it. They no longer sell it there and i just dont want it. I paid $169 for it.

If they take ot back with no receipt U will get the lowest price they have sold it at in the last 30-60 days and u would only get store credit . Was that the only bad review?  They could have put it together wrong or their baby could have been to heavy for it. I would research it more and try the return if u want but expect to lose some $ on it

With toys r us or babies r us  if you have their rewards program they should be able to look up your receipt through it but more than likely they will Ive you a store credit without it and just buy a different one I have the chicco bassinet and I loved it as well as my son he used it till he was 6 months it was bed height for the rim but the bed in it was lower which was nicer to have to I wasn’t reaching up

You have to have a receipt and if there were no recalls then you most likely wont get your money back.

Without a receipt they will most likely issue a store refund. I would just take it back. Not worth it. Even if you didn’t get your money back, still not worth it. Don’t use it.
