VBAC?

What’s your experience? I had a csection with my daughter exactly 2 years ago and now I’m due with a baby boy.  I was really upset i didn’t have a regular birth the first time but i want to do what’s best for my baby.  Anyone have any insight? Or experience?

It's very popular where I live. A lot of women go through the midwives and choose to have vbacs. I've heard nothing but great stories. A friend of mine had her vbac 3 years after having a traumatic c section experience with her son and she was so so happy. She said it was so much easier and she recovered so much faster. If I had to have a c section I would 100% try for a vbac if medically I was able too. I did have another friend who wanted a vbac and she ended up finding out her second pregnancy had placenta previa and she had to have another section. I would say shoot for the vbac if that's what you want. Do some research and you can always change your mind.

I'd check with your doctor and local hospital first. I wanted to try for a vac with my 2nd but that dream was over once I found out my local hospital doesnt allow vbacs.

Ive had a VBAC. I wanted to try because my first was an emergency section and i hadn't even gone into labour so I had literally no experience of a natural birth, he was essentially evicted. My VBAC went well, first contraction to last push was 8.5 hours but I had a bad tear. I had to have a spinal for stitches in theatre and the recovery I found more painful a longer. The main reason I wanted a VBAC was because my son was only 20 months and I wanted to be up and about and home and recover faster and I had none of that. I had to stay in because the spinal tool 24 hours to wear off properly and thay was the policy and the recovery I found much longer than the section. I don't regret having the vbac but this time I'm opting for a planned section because i recovered better from it and I dont want to risk a tear again. What I'm saying is make sure your reasons for a vbac still apply of you end up with a difficult birth

I plan on having a VBAC. It'll be my first time doing it. I heard a lot of great stories that were successful. I had to have an emergency c sections with my twins. I'm lucky I get to try a vbac. I'm looking forward to it. Was told there's not as many risks as having a repeat c section.
