Trigger Warning⚠️: This is about eating and weight.

It is also long

So, I have a very conflicted relationship with my body. I was overweight as a teen and almost 200 lb going to college (I’m only 5’3”). My diet has never been terrible. I worked hard and got down to 180 by graduation even when I was Dancing 40 hour a week in classes and performances.

I managed to lose weight in living internationally, but not the healthiest of ways (living off of tea, peanuts and the alcohol others bought me and got down to 155 (remember by BMI 125 would be ideal for me)

In grad school I found out I have PCOS and started a low carb high protein diet of around 1200-1700 calories. I’m Pescatarian and have mostly a vegetarian diet. Save a few slip ups due to depression (when I only ate grapes and gained 20 lbs) that is how I’ve eaten for the last 8-11 years. I managed to hang around 170+\- 7lb.

Now I’m gladly pregnant with my first. At 8 Weeks and finding eating even 1900 calories hard. Even a little distressing. My husband brought in 2% yogurt instead of 0% and I definitely felt some kind of way about it. Because I’m obese technically (I don’t look it) I could technically gain 0-11lb this pregnancy and be okay. But I’m currently losing. The nausea is mostly controlled with B6.

I see a nutritionist in 2 months, but until then any suggestions or personal experiences?
