Doesn’t want Milk?

Question

Almost 9 month old bub recently turned off milk - formula and breast. Eating solids well but wants nothing to do with milk, anyone else experiencing this?

My son has always been this way. One week he eats his bottles amazing and does 25 oz the next he wants nothing to do with them and barely makes 15 oz. He will never drink more than a 5 oz bottle and sometimes he won’t even drink more than 3 oz. as they get older they will want less bottle and more food. I have a chart that my sons pediatrician gave us at his 4 month appointment and I’ve been using it a guide line since then because it helps ease my mind. At this age they only really need at least 16 oz a day. So as long as he gets that for the most part every day or almost every day I don’t worry about it.

mine too. i started giving her organic cows milk and she drinks 3 bottles a day and gets e meals a day now. guess she decided to self ween. my pediatrician says shes doing good so im just gonna go with it for now

I think it’s pretty normal for this age. Both my kids by this age were really into food and got more on a 3 meal a day schedule with their bottles along with their meals. As long as shes having wet and poopy diapers it should work itself out. Could be teeth also. My LO just cut her bottom teeth at the same time and bottles were a struggle but now she’s back on track.

Mine did it for about a week at that age - I have no idea why. She’s still more into solids and milk intake has gone down - but drinking is less of a battle than it was.
