Wait to test or test now?? Help!

Since January I was getting my period 2 times a month well last month I got my period on the 4th lasted till the 14th. I didn't get a second one and the app said I was supposed to start on the 28 I didn't start. I had some light spotting when I would wipe it was light pink orange color that lasting 3 days. So i thought I would start today and still nothing. I'm not spotting anymore. The app says I should be almost done with my period. My husband keeps telling me I'm pregnant he's hopeful. Should I wait it out or take a pregnancy test? I'm tired of getting my hopes up.
