Cloth diapers? Gdiapers (with disposable inserts)? Thoughts and opinions?

Ok so, I’m not sure I want to go full on cloth diapers, but I’m really fascinated by the concept of the brand gdiapers. They are cloth outsides with disposable inserts. The inserts can be flushed(if you don’t have a septic tank) and wet ones can be composted. I doubt I’ll manage to compost, but I like the idea that they are biodegradable and can be flushed!! Anyone tried them? Was it worth it? Did you find that you were spending more than if you just caved and went traditional disposable? Share opinions and experiences please!!
