Can I get my OB to induce?

Question

Anyone know of anything I can say or do in order to get my OB to induce me?
Can’t eat
Can’t sleep
Can’t
Get comfortable
By legs are numb
Vag hurts 
I’m so so miserable.  I’m getting 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night. I cried for hours lass night cause I was so tired and couldn’t sleep and so uncomfortable.

It’s hard to believe it but it’s a whole lot more work and more exhausting once the baby arrives! Have you tried pre-natal massage? Also, walks or hikes- I find the more I exercise, the easier it is to sleep. Good luck mama! You’re almost there. Lap up these last few weeks!

If there is no medical reason to do so, my doctor will not electively do an induction until 39 weeks. I'm certain most doctors are not willing to risk the medical liability and induce early just because we are uncomfortable, unfortunately.. I feel ya though - 36 weeks with my third and chasing a 4 and 2 year old, I'm tired girl and my body hurts!

No hospital will allow an OB to induce unless medically necessary prior to 39 weeks. 
Heck I went in last night vomiting and screaming in pain, with preterm labor signs at 35 weeks last night and they threw everything at me to stop the labor. Despite the odds that baby would survive there is too much risk of delivering baby prior to 39 weeks.

I feel you. 36 weeks and very uncomfortable. But you’re almost there and it will be much much easier to have a full term baby than to risk having a NICU baby. Try and exhaust yourself during the day so you pass out at night. I barely get a few hours, but when I do a lot, I get a few more. Good luck!

Can you take some Benadryl at night to help you sleep? That was a lifesaver for me when I had a cold and was up coughing all night— I finally slept! How many weeks are you? I agree with others that inductions before 39 weeks require medical necessity and none of your reasons rise to that level. The closer to 39/40 weeks you get, the better off your baby will be.
