Labor faster with #3??

Question

I am pregnant with baby #3 and everyone keeps telling me labor goes a lot faster with your third. I was induced with my daughter but had her in 8 hours which even the nurses were amazed. My son I went into labor on my own and had him in about 5 1/2 hours. The reason I'm concerned with this is I live a hour and a half away from the hospital I will be delivering at. I also plan on having a natural birth and want to stay home as long as possible but don't really want to be delivering a baby on the side of the interstate. Lol

third was actually a bit longer than my second but then again baby was smaller by a pound. Both were pretty fast though! Second baby was 2hrs and 3rd was 3.5hrs. I can understand your concern that you get to the hospital in time!

Make sure your seat has a water proof cover and then some sheets over that. Had mine in the car. It was actually really nice.... But I was 5 mins away from home and the midwives came to me.

Just had my first child the 30th of may and was only in labor for 4 hours.. Water broke at 9:28 and I had him at 9:39.. I live about an hour from my hospital  and I am just dreading when I go to have another baby... Doctor said if I was to ever have another if probably be induced.. I wasn't dilated but a finger tip two days earlier and I went in almost 5cm that day.. Just because I was bleeding ... I didn't even know I was in labor

I just know if I mention this to my doctor they are going to push for induction:( of course I know that I can refuse and will bc I absolutely hated it with my daughter but still really stresses me out!!

I'm also pregnant with my third. My first labor was 18 hours, augmented, and my second was 10 hours, natural. 
I'm also not keen on the idea of a highway baby. Our birthing center is 25 minutes away. I was planning a home birth, but had to transfer bc of financial issues.

My 3rd was my longest by far. I don't think there is any way to predict how long a labor will be. Even just relative to the others you've been through.
