Anyone use this baby product?!!??

Anyone use this and have good feed back? My son is 9 days old and hates laying flat. Like absolutely hates it. He needs to be elevated (he’s got super bad gas and hiccups all the time) He also can NOT stand his hands/arms being restricted in a swaddle as he really prefers to sleep with his arms above his head so I came across this product and it looks like it might help out rather than having him in his swing or boppy and me staring at him literally all night to make sure he doesn’t suffocate. BUT the reviews are all mixed and I got freaked out when one said that 12 babies have died of suffocation 😭😭 I’m a hot mess but I need him to start sleeping in his bassinet or pack n play.

Sleep positioners are absolutely unsafe. You should never add anything to your baby’s crib. It’s a huge suffocation risk.

I have never used that one, but my son slept on an infant cushion for the first 12 weeks! It was the ONLY thing he would sleep on. We put it in the bassinet, and eventually in the crib. It was slightly elevated and made him feel snuggled. It looked similar to the one in the picture, which is made by Boppy

I have never used that product. Both my boys had to be elevated, and I loved the Rock n' Play.

Have you tried elevating one side of his crib? I had to do this with my son. Pediatrician told me to put nothing but a swaddle blanket in his crib. We elevated one side and it made a world of difference with his reflux.

They sale wedges you slip under the mattress that raises the “head” of the bed by a few degrees giving them the elevation needed to prevent any reflux issues. 
That product wouldn’t work for your LO. At 9months your LO should be rolling (at least in one direction) and your LO could try to roll while using that product. With the boarder at the hips restricting his rolling it can cause him to get stuck and suffocate. 
At 9 months of age your LO can do the wedge. Yes he may roll around in the middle of the night and roll to the bottom but the key is you just need to get to the point of him going into his bassinet/crib and sleeping. 
3rd time mom here. Going to be blunt and honest. A 9 month old should have out grown most reflux issues. They should be getting solid foods which help prevent any major reflux issues. Now the issues your son maybe having can be a dietary issue. Like. Dairy? Or something else he is eating sparking the reflux. Have you asked your pediatrician for infant Zantac? It’s magical for reflux babies. All of mine have been on it. 
Also at 9 months of age your LO understands how to roll their face away from something that could be obstructing their face. As long as you aren’t placing like blankets, toys, fluffy objects that aren’t meant to be in a crib with them then your Lo will “move” if needed. 
Going to recommend the owlet. My first baby I didn’t buy one and I was like you. Terrified! I never slept. Ever. And I was a full time working mom in the ER. Ugh. Was beyond hard. Second baby I bought one and once I learned it is trust worthy (few days) I was finally able to sleep and trust it will alert me if my baby was in danger.

my baby has bad reflux. for about a month, he slept strictly in his rock and play. i now have a wedge for under his bassinet mattress. he slides off of it though so i adjust him a couple times a night.
