I really like him though!

Hey guys!

I really like this guy...and I know he likes me! But my problem is that my parents don’t want me dating yet! I understand that, I respect that, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy with it! I wouldn’t actually “date” him. I would go out with him...with friends...he would just be my primary “friend” does that make sense?

I just need to know how to help my parents understand that I’m responsible enough to date? I’m 14 years old, I’m a Christian and I am strong in my faith (meaning I don’t just believe in God because my parents do). I know my boundaries. I know where this guy stands too... but my mom still doesn’t want us doing ANYTHING!
