Evil mother in law

How do you guys deal? First I thought it was just a coincidence because she invited me out, wouldn’t let me pay for myself and then on the way to drop her back off at home she starts dropping little hints basically about how I’m taking advantage of her son. And she worries about him spending so much time with me. That pissed me off but I blew it off until he told me that she cornered him later that night to ask if I mistreat him 😐

Ok next week we went out again this time her son came and he payed for me even after I asked him not too so I made up for it by buying his food.. skip to this past weekend.. we went out again and I invited my Bestfriend. I paid for myself and his mom made a smart ass “wow you actually paid for yourself” comment 😐 then all night she was making little rude comments towards me and even my friend picked up on it. When we left she was like “I don’t think his mom likes you” I was so embarrassed because I’ve never done anything for her not to. My boyfriend and I just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant and I don’t even want to break the news to his mom. Because she’s going to continue accusing me of using him for money and trapping him. She’s going to talk so much shit. we live together (my SO and I) and don’t necessarily have to be around he Always wants to see her.

Edit to add we live in a small town. I’m not going on dates with his mom. It’s a town game night with food every Sunday. We like to go and she happens to be there and sits by us. That one time she requested he stay home and we have a girls night, the next time I brought him, then I brought him and a friend. I’ve already told him I’m not goin back. She spoiled my mood I don’t even want to play anymore🤷🏻‍♀️
