Is there any correlation?

Is there a correlation with hcg levels and heartbeats detectable on an ultrasound? 
My wife is going in for her first apt on Thursday and she has been googling a million and one things because she hasn’t been getting any pregnancy symptoms except frequent urination and it came up that if your hcg isn’t over 25000 you won’t see the heart beat.. last draw was Friday and she was 8521 so she’s freaking out. 
Has anyone experience this?

No correlation. This pregnancy (my second good one), I didn’t have symptoms until like 8-9 weeks. Tell her not to freak out!

ER nurse here: most often, you wont see a heartbeat until at least 7-8 weeks.  General rule of thumb is you won't see anything at all (not even a sac) unless the hcg is over 1000-2000. You will probably see something since hers is higher, but I don't know of an hcg level for seeing the heartbeat.

I was told by my dr 1500 to see a yolk sac/ fetal pole and above 5000 for a heartbeat.

No. your levels have to be at least 1,200 to see anything on the ultrasound. A heartbeat can be different. if she is sooner than 6 weeks you may not be able to see it. it will also be hard to see if the baby is closer to the back or if the placenta is in the front. with her levels you will be able to see baby but don't be alarmed if the heartbeat can't be seen just yet. sometimes people don't see it until 8 weeks.
