Twins?

How likely are twins if the genetics don't run in your family? Is it wierd I'm kind of hoping for twins the second time around? Lol Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Twins run on BOTH sides of our family. 5th pregnancy, no twins THANK GOD. My husband wants twins, me not so much. All I think of is gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, bed rest, nicu, sciatica, sleep deprivation x2....no thank you lol

I naturally conceived fraternal twins at age 23.  No family history.  I did a lot of research on twins, and every woman has a 3% chance of conceiving fraternal twins!  Scientists are baffled at why eggs split and turn into identical twins, and they are completely spontaneous in nature, do not run in families...every woman has a .3% of conceiving identical twins.  FYI this was from my research (books at web) from 9 years ago!  I will also say chance of having another set of fraternal twins after you have one set goes way up (like maybe 12-20%?) but I've been pregnant twice since and just one baby each time!
