What a terrible child!!

So today was the day I’ve been waiting for... the ultrasound that will tell us the gender of our first child! I planned to have them put it in an envelope and had cupcakes made so that my husband and I could eat them together over dinner and be surprised together. We moved 6 months ago so we don’t have any family/friends close to do a gender reveal party, so I thought this would be an intimate and nice way for us to do this.

Baby and I had a talk this morning that this would be the one and only time that I would approve the flashing of his/her genitalia...

10am comes around, it’s ultrasound time!!

We’re in there and the anatomy scan commences. Husband is there as well, and we get to the part where she’s going to start looking for the genitalia! So, we look away and wait anxiously... “okay, turn this way.... turn the other way... pushes on my belly...”

Baby’s legs are crossed and he/she is napping. Dang it!

Okay, we will keep trying. Get up, go pee, do a hand stand in the bathroom, dance around, push on the belly some more, etc. okay... round 2!

Looking.... looking... NOPE! Legs still crossed, chord in the way! Guys I could tell you all of the details of the appt, but here’s the important thing... TWO AND A HALF HOURS OF THIS!!! We tried everything! I drank something sugary, ate chocolate, danced, jumped around, poked baby, tried every possible position to see... nothing.... nothing but attitude! Baby not only wasn’t giving it up, but was apparently pissed that we interrupted nap time. Are you ready to see what we DID get?!?!

Yup... that’s a middle finger. That’s what our child gave us 😂😂😂. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time and I’m so happy the ultrasound tech gave us this picture because some day when baby is older they’re def getting told this story. Yes, we got a few more but this one is the best LOL!! We’re going to try again Friday and see how it goes. I’ll just keep the cupcakes for a couple of days. I just had to share this attitude thrown at me. The first attitude caught on camera, oh what a child this shall be! 😊
