Abortion?

My boyfriend and I have talked about what we’d do if I got pregnant and he said he’d want me to get an abortion. At first I said yes but now I’m not so sure. Have you talked about this with your boyfriends?

we did indeed talk about this. we try to be as careful as possible and take precautions to make sure i don’t get pregnant. but if it did happen... we are not in the position to have kids. i think i would feel a bit sad to get an abortion but we are not at all in a place financially and ready for that so it would genuinely be the best thing.

Yes my boyfriend and I have talked about it. I’m getting my abortion next week and he’s 100% supportive of me. When I first told him I was pregnant he said no matter what I choose to do with it he’d support me. He said if it was up to him that he’d keep it, but he understands that I’m just not mentally ready and still have so much going on in my life. We’re going half and half on the abortion and he’s going to be there in the clinic with me when I get it done. It’s a tough decision to make but whatever your situation is sometimes it’s the best.

We discussed it when we first started being sexually active with one another. I asked what he would want to do if an accident were to happen and he said he would wanna find a way to make it work. I told him I’m not at a place in my life to have kids, I’m not financially stable, hesnot financially stable, we live 20 mins away from one another so we definitely wouldn’t be able to afford to move out together. After I gave him my reasons he just changed his mind and he’s completely on board with ending the pregnancy if it were to ever happen.

It's something you need to discuss with him again, if you've already discussed it and you agreed that abortion would be the preferred option then he has a right to know that you've changed your mind.

Me and my boyfriend obviously wanted kids. But we did kind of talk about it. All he said was he’d be really upset if I had gotten an abortion. I think it’s a two person conversation regardless of the fact that it’s essentially the woman’s body. It takes two people to make a baby, so both should get a say.

We haven’t openly talked about it, we are preventing seeing as it’s a fairly new relationship and both of us have things we want to accomplish before starting a family. I know he would want to keep it if I were to get pregnant, but I also know 100% he’d support my decision if I decided I wanted to abort. He’s very much pro choice and understands theres a lot more to it then just “it’s my baby too so I have equal say.” Im also pro choice but I know personally I couldn’t follow through with an abortion. I guess best way to avoid that whole situation is to use protection right??

Neither of us want a baby any time soon so I'm assuming we're both in agreement on that..but it's always a good idea to know how you and your partner would react. Although when it actually happens sometimes people react differently than they imagined

I’m 18 and he’s 21 and we don’t think we’re in a right place financially to raise a child as we would want to give it everything it needs and more. We both agreed I’d end the pregnancy and I have had one before and although it wasn’t easy I didn’t want to carry on with it
