Moving while pregnant??

I'm currently 8 weeks and my husband wants to do any internship in Puerto rico and wants me and my daughter to go. It would only be for 3 months but I'm scared because what if something goes wrong with the pregnancy?! I mean it's Puerto Rico! Am I being paranoid or close-minded? I'm just scared. Would you go? I also have never been so I don't know if it's very safe?

You should also not have unprotected sex with him for the rest of your pregnancy once he goes there due to Zika.

Just personally i think i would choose to stay home and tough it out. A lot of puerto rico is still in very rough shape from the hurricane, and i wouldn’t feel comfortable going through a pregnancy in another country in general. I would definitelygoogle your butt off as far as doctors and amenities go, over all safety, health, etc.

The CDC officially recommends that women who are pregnant should not travel to Puerto Rico. They also advise that pregnant women should not have unprotected sex with anyone who has traveled there in the last 3 months. On top of the Zika concerns, Puerto Rico is still struggling to rebuild basic infrastructure after the hurricane. You really ought to stay away.

Im from pr and I wouldn’t do it unless you will be staying en guaynabo, it is an okay Pueblo to be in. But otherwise , no. Things are pretty rough over there

If PR wasn't in the state it's in currently and Zika wasn't a risk I would say go for it, but with the current circumstances, it's not safe
