If you’re religious, do you put God before your family?

To me if I’m putting God first I’m also putting my family first in a way. God doesn’t hurt my family and often when I’m making good choices, doing good things, etc for my family I’m also following my faith. I see them as very interconnected personally, so even if God comes first that doesn’t mean anyone suffers for it. Growing up, my parents put God first but I certainly never felt like God got in the way of my parents love for me. I mean, God tells you to live your children and raise them in the ways of the Lord so by doing just that you’re putting God first. Same with loving your husband or wife- that’s following God. When you pray to God I often pray for my family with those prayers. Hopefully this makes sense but basically God is first but through Him I’m also caring for my family.

Yes God should come before everything but I’m so bad at keeping it that way. We are currently working on putting more of God in our marriage and as individuals. I want my kids growing up in a Christ centered home
