Ewcm and clomid but no ovulation?

Ive taken clomid quite a few times in the past and I would always get ewcm leading up to ovulation on day 19 and a period on day 33 every single time...when im not on clomid its another story but on clomid its always been this way...well my last cycle on clomid I had the usual ewcm starting on day 14 and continuing through to day 19 so I thought that I had ovulated but when day 33 came around and I didn't get a period I thought that I'd conceived but I got a negative hpt...my period is now 12 days late and my last hpt was taken on Wednesday at 9 days late...I know im not pregnant due to the negative test but im just confused as to why I would have the ewcm for the same number of days like I usually do and not ovulate
