Pediatrician said to give it if she had a fever. She never ran a fever so I didn’t give it to her. She did sleep a lot & fuss when she wasn’t sleeping. We just did lots of cuddles bc she wanted to be held & snuggled all day.

I broke down and gave my daughter Tylenol a few hours after her shots. She didn’t have a fever but was sooo fussy. She would be so tired and want to sleep but the minute she’d doze off I think her legs were hurting and she’d jolt awake. Her cry was a different cry that I hadn’t heard before so I knew she was hurting. One dose of Tylenol and she was back to being a happy baby.

My pediatrician said there is a study that says to not give your baby Tylenol before shots because it does something to the antibodies of the vaccines. Google it, it’s a good read.

Depends on age. For 2 months shots no. After that all of my kids got one dose of Tylenol as infants and Motrin once they were over a year old 1 hour before shots.   Then not again unless needed.

My mom and boyfriend's mom both gave us tylonel before our shots so I gave my some a bit before going and he slept the whole time after it and he finally slept all night. It felt great to finally get some sleep. He's just really fussy when he's awake. Just give lots of cuddles afterwards
