Spotting when I wipe

Hey guys, TMI here! But my last period was 1/9/18 and that one was barely three days long and I hardly bled compared to my usual. I’ve been followed by a fertility specialist for a year but in January we decided to take a mental health break. I started to spot when I would wipe after I peed on Tuesday, it was at first bright red then lessened in color since then and it is now brown and it also looks like some pieces of tissue or lining?. Has anyone else experienced this? I called my doctor and have bloodwork next week, but I’m curious.
