Very Confusing Urgent Pregnancy

I’m very confused.. In January I found out I was pregnant a few days late I was bleeding and cramping so I went to the hospital and they said I a low hcg but they couldn’t find a baby, but they want me to wait till my next period. It is now February my period is a week and few days late and my test from a few days ago are coming back negative. I definitely need help and closure
