Placental insufficiency in following pregnancy?

I had placental insufficiency with my son and we didn’t know till 34 weeks, I was induced at 35 & he weighed 3lb 13oz, I’m now pregnant with my second (my son is 4 months actual 3 corrected & I’m 5 weeks) I wasn’t given a reason for my placenta not working & I was wondering if anyone knows if it happens in following pregnancies? I’ve got a midwife appointment on the 28 but I need reassurance till then😩 TIA x

I’m following. I was diagnosed with placental insufficiency. I’m 20 weeks. I have to have ultrasounds every few weeks. They are worried my girl will have to come out early... I have no clue if this is something I will have to deal with if I have another baby. I hope you don’t have it again. Hope you get answers soon!
