Biotin for hair growth?

Does biotin really help hair growth? How much should you take for maximum growth? Can it cause any side effects? X

I took it for years to grow my brows back & also brushed Rogaine on them & it worked like magic! I didn’t experience side effects but of course your hair grows back faster in all the areas you remove hair. I took 1000-5000mcg. Started at 1000mcg & worked my way up to 5000mcg. Now I take B12 which works the same, but also gives energy & helps with metabolism & other things.
