A little unsure after using BC but my Period hasnt started yet....

So about 5-6 months ago I started the NuvaRing and took it out every day one the 15th and started the 16-18the very month. I have been off The Ring for about 3 months now and have started religiously in the late night of the 16 or mid day into the 17. I know it could take some time to get regular again but my symptoms have been rather troublesome.....Ever since I started my period I have always had a fairly large amount of discharge the week before my period to where I would have to continually change a panty liners several times through out the day. (I brought this up to my doc when I told my mother about it and she told me I needed to be seen right away. She said the amount was slightly abnormal but everyone is different and gave me a clean bill of health after several tests was and exam was completed.) this has yet to happen and for the last week or maybe week and a half, my breasts are extremely sore, I have little to no discharge, and my sex drive is through the roof. I'm late by almost a week. should I go ahead and test or wait a little longer to see if I start? and if the test is negative and I don't start for another week should I schedule a visit with my doc anyway after waiting an extra week? Anyone ever experience this? please help me out here ladies..... I'm a lot of nervous and a lot excited.....just not wanting to be giving my self false hope for no reason.... Thank you in advance!!!
