Anyone else having gallbladder and pancreas issues?
Apparently, (according to Google research) pancreatitis in pregnancy happens to 3 in 100,000 women. I am one of the 3. I have been in and out of the hospital because my gallbladder is producing gallstones which are clogging my bile ducts. This in turn is causing my pancreatic enzymes to backflow into my pancreas which causes 5+ hour bouts of EXTREME pain. Imagine being stabbed with a screwdriver in your back and upper chest repeatedly while also having acid injected into your heart and that's about what I have. I was just put into the high risk category after my second hospitalization at 27 weeks since it is not being controlled by diet very well at all. They are talking about taking my son out early because apparently you can accrue heart, lung, and liver damage when your lipase reaches almost 2,000 like mine did the second time. I'm almost 29 weeks now and I'm just wondering if I am the only one going through this.
