I had my son 20 days ago, my birthday is friday which would make him almost 4 weeks old. Would it be okay to have intercourse? ftm.

So for the women saying that the 6 weeks is a "guideline" they are wrong and putting your life in danger. Women have bled out and DIED from not listening to the 6 week advice. Why you may ask? When the placenta detaches itself from the side of the uterine wall it has to heal! This is why they check you before 6 weeks to make sure you are healed before putting anything in the vagina that may be too aggressive to a healing and shrinking uterus. I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude in any way, by PLEASE do no not listen to the women on here and speak with your doctor to be absolutely sure. ❤️❤️ be save out there ladies

If you feel your healed enough then have at it but be careful if you don’t want another baby right away!!! The first time I had sex after my first baby I got pregnant😳

Best bet is to ask your doc, but if you’re not sore use a condom (this prevents infection incase your cervix is still open) and you should be fine

If you feel ready, Go for it. The 6 weeks thing is more of a guideline in my opinion.  Although I'm not sure you'll like it, after I had my first child, when I did have sex again it felt like I was losing my virginity all over again and it wasn't very great, just all felt kinda awkward down there.
